Puppets for a Video of “The Spectre’s Bride”
The Berkeley Community Chorus and Orchestra will perform The Spectre’s Bride by Antonín Dvořák in the Hertz Hall at U.C. Berkeley on January 4, 5, and 6. The photos displayed are still shots from the video I am preparing with puppets and sets, with videography by Graham Bond, for the BCCO.
1.The Bride prays at the altar.
2. The Spectre says, “Do you not know me?”
3. Spectre says, “Make haste and come with me.”
4.The Bride follows the Spectre into the forest.
5. He led her fast with leaps and bounds.
6. It was a night still and clear when spooks arise.
7. Spectre says,”Throw away that rosary!”
8.(At Graveyard) Spectre says, “This is my home.”
9. Spectre says, “Open the door, I say.”
10. The Bride went down into the crypt alone.
