Boy in a Swing

: “Scenes from the Puppet World” was an exhibit at the Skyline College Art Gallery. A “Greeter Puppet” invited the audience into the show and gave each person a text to identify the figures. An installation, “Family Circle,” was a grouping of five large puppets around a “Boy in a Swing”. Each character had a set of rods for partial manipulation. The show included other named installations: “Genie out of the Bottle,” “Where is the Buddha,” and “Dragon’s World.” A set of bird identification cards described the habits and pathways of various birds. “Bird Migrations” was a dance improvisation with puppets performed on opening night in co-operation with the Skyline Dance Department.
